Prevention and Control of Vector Borne Diseases
As per the circular issued by Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, Department of Education, Sant Nirankari Public School, Sector-16 A, Faridabad has taken stringent action to prevent and control of Vector Borne Diseases (Dengue, Chikungunya and Malaria).
The school has appointed Coordinator to monitor the implementation of all the activities related to prevention and control of such diseases. The school has fixed ten minutes on every Monday to spread awareness for the same among the students as well as the nearby locality. Stagnant water is checked regularly in the playground, garden, parking, roof top, coolers and water tanks on every Saturday and Wednesday in order to ensure no possibility of mosquito breeding.
Do’s and Don’ts to avoid mosquito breeding and bite has been displayed on all the House and Bulletin Boards of the classes. Students have been advised to wear full sleeves shirts and trousers. Various activities and competitions are held in the school on the theme of vector borne diseases to create awareness. Inter-House Quiz competition was held for Classes I to V and Inter-House Drawing Competition was held for Classes VI to XII.
Students and parents have been well informed and sensitized about the campaign. Posters and banners have been displayed inside and outside the school premise. Students enthusiastically participated in all the activities and tried their best to make the campaign a great success.
