Special Assembly – Three Magical Words: Sorry, Thank you, Please
“Children are great imitators so give them something good to imitate.”
This is precisely what our children tried to showcase to their peers at a special assembly on Three Magical Words. It was started with the chanting of the Shabad of Hardev Vani as an invocation. It is believed that the sacred words purify the thoughts of the one who chants the listener and everyone around.
Bhumi of class V A gave a lively introduction to the assembly. Deepanshi of class V A gave a speech on the need to inculcate good manners and always be polite and respectful to others. The students of class III to V enthusiastically participated in a skit which stressed the importance of the three magic words – ‘PLEASE, SORRY and THANK YOU’. The skit was followed by a beautiful Hindi poem by Charu of class IV to encourage the students to lead an ideal and disciplined life. A mesmerizing song on Good Manners by students of class III to V kept every one glued. After which students of class IV &V sang a beautiful and inspiring song for us to have a deeper understanding of the usage of three magical words which was followed by a Hindi Skit by students of class V showing how we should behave with our elders .The students’ performance entertained and mesmerized everyone present.
The assembly concluded with Principal Mrs. Sunita Kharbanda’s address to the students. On a parting note, she stressed that good manners help spread better understanding and goodwill and thus bring about harmony amidst all. We should use these three magical words quite often in our lives.
