INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION
India is the cradle of the human race
The birth place of human speech,
The mother of history,
The grandmother of legend, and
The great grandmother of traditions.

As our beloved country India was going to celebrate 70th Independence Day on 15th August so, a special function was organized today under the guidance of our respected Principal Ms Sunita Kharbanda, respected Headmistress Ms Mamta Arora, honorable Chairamn Mr V.K. Arora, respected Manager Mr N.S. Chauhan and last but not the least our invited guests respected Rev. Ms Ranjana Sharma and Ms Sunita Minhotra Ji. The day was celebrated in the remembrance of our forefathers and their sacrifices towards our country.
The function was host by one of our house teacher Ms Seema Midha who started the progmarmme with a brief introduction for the day, the date, 15th August from 1947 in India has become a very important day in the India history. It was the luckiest day of year 1947, when India became independent after lots of hard struggle and sacrifices of the India freedom fighters. The function was started with flag hoisting and followed by National Anthem. The other programmes of the function are as follows:
The programme was started by the small kids of nursery with a beautiful poem titled “Chote- Chote bachhe hum”. It was a very beautiful poem which was recited by the small kids very beautifully.
Then the small kids of L.K.G presented a beautiful action song in front of everyone. The performance was really very captivating.
Vineet of IX acquainted all with a very thoughtful speech on Independence Day. In his speech he told about the history of our independence and that how our forefathers have sacrifices their lives for the sake of our motherland, India. He also said that we should not forget these sacrifices and we should loyal and faithful towards our country.
A beautiful poem was recited by the students of U.K.G.
Lakshita of IX presented a very beautiful patriotic song “E mere pyare watan” which was really a heart touching performance.
Jyoti of X apprised of everyone with a speech on this special occasion of “Independence Day”. She told everyone the true meaning of patriotism and that how we can be loyal towards our country.
Our respected and honorable guest Rev. Ranjana Sharma Ji blessed everyone with her precious thoughts. She told all the children that first of all we should respect our fellow beings only than we can respect our country. She also said that freedom doesn’t mean that we are free to do anything, we should know our limit only then we can enjoy our true freedom.
The students of VI to IX presented a group song “Teeja tere rang tha main to” in front of everyone. It was really a heart touching performance given by the students.
A beautiful poem was recited by Ayushi of XI.
The students of III to V presented a beautiful group dance performance which was really an incredible performance.
Then, it was the time to acknowledge the intelligence of the brimming students. It was the time for prize distribution ceremony. The prizes were distributed by our respected and honorable manager Mr N.S. Chauhan to the two students for the fancy dress competition.
And the programmed was ended by the blessings of our honorable chairman Mr V.K.Arora. Speaking on the occasion, our respected chairman elaborated on the concepts of freedom and independence, and advised the students to listen to the Independence Day address of Prime Minister of the country.
